Jamie been been addressing some involved and intense planning matters, in consultation with highly respected Town Planners. and his consultants including regarding planning in places such as Ballarat, Latrobe Valley and East Gippsland, In addition he has been working on some involved and sensitive political matters.
with an intensive business accoutrement, Jamie has undertaken political activism and advocacy, business establishment and corporate coaching in addition to governance training, policy and procedure development and advising a number of community organisations.
He recently helped establish a think tank on government policy and rural affairs, the Derek Amos Institute of Public and Political Affairs.
In more news Jamie has been elected for another term on the National Board of Youth Workers Australia and this year as National Treasurer. He is also heading up the development of Baker Ebert College in the Gippsland region which is an ongoing. He is currently undertaking accreditation auditing for youth Work degrees across Australia for various universities and Vet providers.
Dr Hogan is member of the highly prestigious Governance institute of Australia and is able to witness sworn statements, affidavits and statutory declarations in that capacity.
For the year ending 2024 and early 2025 I have established the Youth Support Team project. This will run over the summer period of 2024/2025 as a trial in East Gippsland, Wellington and Latrobe. The development of this program has been over twelve months and we trailed parts of the program it for three weeks earlier in 2024 with great success see the page titled Youth Support team for more details.
Jamie has raised his hand as a candidate in the upcoming local government elections in October 2024 to be elected as a Councillor for the Northern Ward in the Shire of Wellington. He is no stranger to local government having served in Melbourne as an outer city municipality, as a Councillor and worked in Youth Services as a manager and coordinator for a rural coastal urban and inner urban municipalities.
Strategic planning is not just a matter of making some notes and then attempting to implement these on a day to day basis. Strategic planning is about research and overall annual implementation.
Comparing the markets, making sure your mission and aims and objectives are up to date and still relevant, ensuring that as you develop your strategic plan it meets these vital elements. Strategic planning should always be done collaboratively and not in isolation.
We have developed a number of new clients in our Advocacy and lobbying work in 2022/2023 and 2023/24 and now have clients that we regularly work with.
In 2023 we have retained the services of a number of consultants such as Irini Casey from RTO Consultants, and Derek Amos OAM JP from Derek Amos Consulting
We are now writing policy and procedures for a number of corporate and community organisation's.
Jamie has been in partnership with a number of eminent Victorians to establish a new political think tank named after the amazing Derek Amos. The mission of the think tank is regional and rural based as follows:
"To further the individual and collective social, political, community and economic opinions of regional Australian’s and to maintain and enhance via research and publication, the greater good of regional People and Communities"
